Terms of Service
Last updated: September 25, 2026
OpenRepos ("we", "us") provides free subdomains on the domains listed on the homepage (the "Service") to open source projects. By claiming or using a subdomain you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
- Your project must be open source: a public repository with an open source license.
- You must own the project repository, or be a member of the organization that owns it.
- You may claim one subdomain per project, on one of the supported domains.
- The record must point at an approved hosting provider (GitHub Pages, Cloudflare Pages, Vercel, Netlify, GitLab Pages and similar); other targets require prior approval.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the content served under your subdomain and for complying with applicable law.
- Serve content about the claimed open source project. No unrelated content and no automatic redirects away from the subdomain — redirects must require user interaction.
- Do not use the Service for NSFW/adult content, phishing, malware, illegal content, trademark infringement, or misleading impersonation.
- Keep the record's target host reachable; abandoned records may be removed.
3. Removal
We may remove a subdomain if these terms are violated, the project is no longer open source, or the record is abandoned. Where practical, we will give notice first. The full process, including reporting and appeals, is documented in the abuse and removal policy.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee availability and are not liable for damages arising from use of the Service.
5. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be published on this page. Continued use of the Service means acceptance of the updated terms.
