Guides
Each guide walks through pointing an OpenRepos subdomain at a hosting provider: claim the subdomain, configure it at the provider, then verify HTTPS.
GitHub Pages
Add your subdomain in Settings → Pages, then enable Enforce HTTPS.
Cloudflare Pages
Attach the domain to your Pages project — the 522 goes away once it is active.
Vercel
Assign the domain in project settings; Vercel issues the certificate automatically.
Netlify
Add the domain under Domain management and provision HTTPS.
GitLab Pages
GitLab requires a verification TXT record — the claim creates it for you.
How claiming works
- Pick a domain and subdomain on the homepage picker.
- Edit register.json and add the badge to your project README.
- Open a pull request — CI validates ownership, the target and the badge.
- After a maintainer merges, DNS is provisioned automatically.
- Configure the custom domain at your provider with the matching guide.
Not sure which domain?
All seven domains point at the same service; the picker lists what is available. See what a free subdomain is, or how OpenRepos compares with other free subdomain services.
